Dorothy Seehausen is a family historian who contributes to the Lyman County South Dakota Genealogy Trails web site. A retired English teacher, she divides her time between genealogy projects such as writing a family history for her grandchildren and hobby writing, which includes short stories and a novel she hopes to one day publish. Additionally, she volunteers once a week for the Brown County History and Genealogy Department transcribing and preserving local narratives from the past.
