Craig Scharp enjoys reading novels and has a variety of hobbies, including fishing, hunting, golfing, grilling, and taking beach vacations during the chilly winter months.

He took time off from college to travel and mature, keeping a journal as he traveled and worked in Alaska. His first book, My Alaskan Adventure, is a collection of actual events and the people he encountered during his travels. It was partially written during his career working in Information Technology, but family, fun, and work took precedence over writing. After retirement, he was able to devote more time to his writing.

He lives in Wisconsin with his wife, and they have two children.
