Ellyn M. Baker is a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Writing has been a passion for most of her life. She published The Cause: Love & War in 2012, a historical Civil War fiction, with the now defunct Tate Publishing but has since recovered the book and outstanding copies.

After considerable work on a re-write and development of a new cover, the first book in Ellyn’s series, Courting Freedom, is now available.

Beyond her writing endeavors Ellyn’s passions include Civil War re-enacting, with her family and continuing to speak about history and the civilian side of the Civil War.

Ellyn was a panelist at Untitled Town 2019 in Green Bay on how to transport your reader to your world.
